Vertical Centrifugal Separators
Centrifugal Separators | Vane Type Separators | Gas Liquid Separators
These separators are used for removal of either liquids or solids from a vapor stream when high liquid loading is present, some liquid storage is needed or the configuration needs variable locations for inlets and outlets. As with our in-line centrifugal separators, we use either our patented “Whirl-A-Way” internal or our proprietary centrifugals and chevrons. Some of these models include: RLH, WLDV, WLD, WLUR, CC, CN and DRLH.
Material: Any metal that can be formed and welded.
Guarantee: 99.9% of all particles 5-10 microns and larger.
RLH Use: Vertical in-line for removal of liquids or solids from a vapor stream.
Operating Range: 35% to 115%
Features:
-
Storage capacity is provided in the lower shell section.
-
Unit can handle liquid loadings up to 400%.
-
Inlet can be located in the side or top.
Precaution: If solids are present, unit must have sufficient amount of liquid to flush the solids out to drain. Special precaution must be made to guarantee a proper seal leg for the drain pipe.
Internal Type: “Whirl-A-Way” Centrifugal
WLDV Use: Vertical downflow for removal of liquids or solids loadings should not exceed 10%.
Operating Range: 35% to 115%
Features: Liquids or solids loadings should not exceed 10%.
Precaution: Solids must be non-adhesive and non-clinging. If solids are present, a special cleaning apparatus is required.
Internal Type: “Whirl-A-Way” Centrifugal
WLD Use: Vertical downflow for removal of liquids and solids from a vapor stream.
Operating Range: 35% to 115%
Features: Storage capacity can be furnished in the lower shell section and handle liquids loadings up to 10%.
Precaution: If solids are present, unit must have a sufficient amount of liquids to flush the solids out to drain.
Internal Type: “Whirl-A-Way” Centrifugal
WLUR Use: Vertical upflow for removal of liquids and solids from any vapor stream where storage capacity is required.
Operating Range: 35% to 115%
Features: Capable of handling high liquids loadings. Storage can be furnished in the lower shell section.
Precaution: If solids are present, it is not recommended unless washout connections are installed. A special precaution must be made to guarantee a proper seal leg for the drain pipe.
Internal Type: “Whirl-A-Way” Centrifugal
DRLH Use: Vertical downflow for removal of liquids or solids from any vapor stream.
Operating Range: 0% - 125%
Features:
1. Capable of producing gas that does not exceed 30mg/Nm3 and meets PM2.5 requirements.
2. Removes 99.9% of all particles 5-8 microns and larger.
Options:
-
Integral silencer furnished if required.
-
Wear plates are furnished as needed.
-
Spray nozzles for scrubbing effluent gas included.
-
Wash systems for washing storage sections as needed.
Precaution: Extra wear plates may be required to extend the life cycle.
CC Use: Any vapor stream where large volumes of liquid gas ratios are present and/or high-quality steam is required.
Operating Range: 0% to 130%
Features:
-
This unit is capable of handling liquids loadings of 500:1 liquid/gas ratio. Storage capacity furnished as needed.
-
Handles slugging conditions.
-
100% turndown ratio.
-
High liquids loadings capabilities.
-
Low maintenance; self cleaning.
Internal Type: Dyna-Therm Centrifugal Can and Chevrons
CN Use: Vertical unit for removal of liquids in a vapor stream.
Operating Range: 0% to 130%
Features: This unit is capable of handling liquid loadings up to 500:1 liquid/gas ratio. Storage capacity as required.
Precaution: Not recommended if solids only are present.
Internal Type: Dyna-Therm Centrifugal Can
